United Insurance Group has been one of the best Utah homeowners insurance options for 25+ years. United Insurance Group uses the standard ISO HO3 homeowners insurance form to give you broader coverage than the large-direct companies. In addition to the use of the broader ISO HO3 form, United Insurance Group offers additional coverage endorsements under their preferred UUX policies for Service Line, Equipment Breakdown, Water Seepage, and their Executive Enhancement Endorsement provides increased limits and broader coverage for things like jewelry and tools that are used in a business. Once added to a preferred UUX United policy, these endorsements give your home some of the best homeowners insurance protection in Utah.
United also offers some unique endorsements and exclusions to accommodate risks that may not fit with other insurance companies, here are a few examples:
Animal Liability Exclusion:
Here at Anderson Insurance Group, we understand that pets are family, and so does United Insurance Group. All major insurance companies maintain a list of dog breeds they consider higher liability risks due to their potential of a severe dog bite. If you own a dog on this list, you still qualify for the exceptional coverage United Insurance offers by adding the animal liability exclusion. United’s animal liability exclusion means any harm, damage, or injury caused by your dog will not be covered. Here’s the exclusion:
Here’s a short, non-inclusive list of dogs on most insurance company’s list: Pit Bull/Staffordshire Terrier/American Bully, Bullmastiff/Presa Canario, German Shepherd, Rottweiler, Husky/Siberian Husky/Malamute/Wolf Breeds, Chow, etc.
Outbuilding Exclusion:
Many homes have older garages or storage sheds on the property that still have a purpose or that may be very costly to renovate or tear down. While homes with these structures may be ineligible for insurance with most companies, United can still provide the best homeowners insurance coverage by excluding the outbuilding.
Roof Exclusions:
You may have an older roof that you are not quite ready to replace. United’s roof exclusion will exclude any damage to the roof, the interior of the home from a leak (fire and smoke are covered perils) and still provide great HO3 coverage for the rest of your home.
Roof Payment Schedule:
United’s Roof Payment Schedule is similar to many other insurance company’s roof schedules. This allows United to cover homes with older roofs while accounting for the age of the roof in the event of a loss. Think of this as you would the tire of a car. If the tire, rated for 30,000 miles is at the end of its useful life, the insurance company may not pay you that much for the tire when damaged in an accident. The same principle applies to roofs.
These are just a few of the benefits and exclusions that allow your United Insurance Group agent the ability to provide a policy with industry-best protection and accommodate risks that may not fit with other companies.
